Frequently asked questions
Q) I have placed an order, but have not received an order confirmation email?A) As these emails are automated they are sometimes blocked by some email accounts thinking its spam, so check any spam or bulk folders of your email account.
Q) How much is delivery?
A) Simply add any items you are thinking of buying to the Shopping Cart, and the delivery charges are calculated automatically depending on value, weight and delivery location.
Q) Can I have my order delivered to where I work?
A) As long as its an actual business address that we can verify, then it is fine.
Q) Can I have my order delivered to a friend, or someone at different address?
A) If it is the first time you have ordered from us we would prefer goods to go to the cardholders address, and may cancel your order if we think there is a high risk of fraud.
Q) What credit and debit cards do you accept?
A) We accept most UK issued cards apart from American Express.
Q) My order was cancelled as you said my address did not match the card holders address, what do I do?
A) The banks now carry out address checking of card payments made online to try and reduce card fraud, to make sure it is the actual card holder placing the order. First make sure that you didn't miss anything off your address, such as house number or postcode, and check it against the address shown on your bank or credit card statement. If you have recently moved it is also wise to contact your bank to make sure that they have taken your old address off their system.
Q) How long does delivery take?
A) It can obviously vary depending on the day and time you place the order, and the location that they are going to, but most orders take between one and five working days.
Q) How secure is your secure online ordering?
A) The card payment page is hosted on a secure server and all card details are encrypted, so your card details are very well protected.
Q) Do you store my card details?
A) We do not store or even get sent your card details, as the payment is processed with the bank within a few seconds whilst your are still online.
Q) What are these MasterCard SecureCode and Verified by Visa things I keep seeing?
A) It's basically the equivalent of 'chip and pin' for the internet, where your bank will set you up with a secret password or code, which you have to give when ordering online.
Q) Do you export parts?
A) No, we only supply customers within the UK and Ireland. We have tried some export before but there is too much paperwork, the delivery is very expensive, and the fraud risk with some countries is also very high.
