These are the later type short track rods, which are to be used with the later type long tie rod ends.
If your car is around 1998 to 1999 then please double check what is on the car, or if your car has had a replacement or second hand steering rack in the past, as the cars sometimes end up with the rack from another year fitted
This track rod can also be used on the Golf 2.8 V6 4-Motion when used with the correct tie rod end, but will not fit the R32
